Let's take a look back at 2021 and review how the Shop Nation YouTube channel did in terms of income!
This is now the 3rd year that I've decided to share my YouTube income with the world.

The feedback I've gotten as a result has been 99.9999% positive and apparently it helps quite a few people so I will keep on doing it. I am in no way an accountant so please take what I say with a grain of salt, especially in reference to accounting terms and practices.
I chose to keep the format almost identical as previous income breakdown videos so we can compare apples-to-apples from 2019-2021. I start by reviewing the channel output and performance for the year (views, videos published, subscribers, etc) just to set a baseline. I then move into sharing some insights from the past year. One of the biggest insights I had in 2021 is that sponsorships just aren't worth the squeeze - more on that later. Then finally I reveal my 2021 income by breaking down each revenue stream:
- Goods & Merchandise
- Affiliate Income
- Google Adsense
- Sponsorships & Endorsements
I genuinely hope this kind of video is useful to you. I have always been a naturally curious person so I kind of always wished the channels I watched would do this type of thing. Since I'm now in a position to share I think I have an obligation to do that. Please don't take this type of video as an attempt to brag or gloat, trust me that is not my intent, I just want to be transparent with you guys.
